Contributing to Realm Wars
We welcome contributions to Realm Wars. By following the process outlined below we can make sure that the contribution pocess is a smooth one and that potential contributors don't end up wasting their time of duplicating efforts.
1 - Check the Task Manager: The Task Manager lists the tasks that are currently in need of work. Always check there first. You can propose tasks that are not in the Task Manager, but checking the Task Manager should always be the starting point.
2 - Email the Lead: Even if you sign up using the Task Manager you still need to email the lead in charge of what you are working on. Let them know what it is you want to work on and get their OK. This will ensure you don't accidentally duplicate effort, work on outdated material, etc.
3 - Update the Lead Periodically: Check back in with the lead in charge of your task on a regular basis. If you can submit roughs of the finished product. Let them know what sort of progress you are making, what you need help on, etc. By submitting roughs you give the leads a chance to spot potential problems early. The last thing we want is for you to submit a finished task, only to be told something is wrong with it.
